Dr. Melanie Lee

"My vision for Inspire Dental is to offer dental services in a manner that is patient centered and personalized with a strong focus on preventative care and long-term wellbeing. I am excited to foster trusting relationships with patients that encourage them to take an active role in their healthcare."

Born, raised, and educated in New Jersey, my inspiration to become a dentist was a manifestation of struggling with cavities my entire childhood and wanting to be a scientist who was not confined to a laboratory.

As the first in her family to become a physician, I spent my summers shadowing a neighborhood dentist and participating in a pre-acceptance program at Rutger's dental school. I quickly learned to appreciate the gratification that the field of dentistry offers.

I earned a Bachelors in Biological Sciences with a Minor in Chemistry from Fairleigh Dickinson University and my Doctorate from Rutgers School of Dental Medicine. Additionally, I completed a Residency at Newark University Hospital which is optional in the field of dentistry. I elected to participate in the residency program for more experience in managing medically complex patients, treating trauma to the face, and learning techniques to better address dental care for behavioral and physical special needs patients.

let's get personal

I am married to my high school sweetheart, going on 20 years together.

We have two cats - Riley (mini-tiger) and Emma (mini-panther).

My hobbies include cross-training, experimenting in the kitchen (my spice and condiment collection is borderline embarrassing), and reading.

When I am not practicing dentistry, I am probably at Orangetheory Fitness or playing board games with loved ones.

fun facts

I autocross my car - I am a novice, but it was the best way to learn how to drive manual transmission. One of my aspirations is to become a polyglot or at least be proficient in American Sign Language.

My favorite foods are noodles, sushi, and ice cream. I am a work-in-progress at pickleball and love karaoke.

community
connection

It is important that the community I serve was one I could grow with.

There are a lot of growing families in Chesterfield so it was a perfect match.

I am looking forward to moving into a single-family home close to the office so I can be immersed in the community.

interdisciplinary
care

Having friends in high places is useful.

Over the years, I have collected a small group of friends who are dental professionals.

Together, we fill in the gaps of specialty and restorative knowledge this way we as a team can provide the best care.

continued
education

In my opinion, providing quality dental care requires consistent learning.

I am commited to staying up-to-date with modern dental technologies in an effort to benefit patients.
